Lol Sargent studied MA Fine Art at the Royal College of Art & then was a Senior Research Fellow in Audio-Visual. Soon after, he became Tutor of Audio Visual Production (finally Time Based Arts) at the RCA from 1986-99. During that period, he was made Fellow of the RCA and received a D&AD Tutor award, regularly taught and lectured at a number of other art & design colleges, and founded media design practice Studio Simple, in 1994. Lol has been Creative Director on all Simple’s visitor experience and exhibition productions, and digital media consultant for various museums and major brands which includes; the V&A, National Football Museum, National Railway Museum, Barbican Art Galleries, Museum of London, British Music Experience, Philips, Eurostar, Famous Grouse, Mercedes Benz and the UAE Pavilion at Milan Expo 2015. Many of the projects have won various design awards including; BAFTA, D&AD, Art Directors Club New York, IVCA and Design Week.
